Verimatrix Acquires Germany’s Comvenient

San Diego-based Verimatrix, a venture-backed company that provides software-based content security technologies in pay-TV networks for telecommunication providers, has acquired Comvenient, a longtime German partner, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune. Financial terms were not disclosed. Both companies provide security for Internet protocol TV. Verimatrix investors include Mission Ventures, Sun America Ventures, JK&B Capital, Cipio Partners, Crescendo Ventures, and Goldman Sachs.
