Transaction Wireless Names New CEO

San Diego-based Transaction Wireless, which provides virtual and mobile gift cards, today named Doug Schneider as President and CEO. Schneider was previously the chief executive at Genea where he transformed a legacy building control system integration business into a leading, software-as-a-service (SaaS) smart building company, increasing sales by more than 42 percent. There was no immediate word on what happened with Bruce Springer, who was the previous CEO at Transaction Wireless. The company, which was founded in 2006, has raised abut $4.25 million from San Diego’s Mission Ventures and Okapi Ventures of Laguna Beach.
