Equifax Acquires SD’s Anakam

Atlanta-based Equifax said Monday it has acquired Anakam, a privately held identity security and management software developer in San Diego. Terms of the transaction, which closed October 1, were not disclosed. Anakam, founded in 2004, specializes in multi-factor identity authentication technology that can replace key cards and other methods for verifying a person’s identity. The San Diego-based company provides security applications to government, health care and the technology industry.
