Obamacare’s Future Under Trump? Learn More at Xconomy Healthtech Event Thursday

After Donald Trump’s upset victory in the presidential election, one of the biggest questions is what will happen to the Affordable Care Act.

It’s a hugely important topic for businesses, the healthcare industry, and, of course, the American people. That’s why Xconomy is working on organizing an informal discussion about the future of Obamacare at Thursday afternoon’s What’s Hot in Boston Healthtech event being held at the Broad Institute in Cambridge, MA. (If the discussion doesn’t come together in time, the topic will certainly come up during the sessions.)

There are plenty of unknowns at this point, but we are asking some of our speakers to share their thoughts on the prospects for a repeal (or overhaul) of Obamacare, and what that would mean for hospitals, insurers, healthtech companies, and patients. We also want to hear thoughts from you, our audience, on this polarizing topic.

In the meantime, here are a couple of articles that discuss some likely scenarios:

—“The debate over how to end Obamacare begins,” in Politico.

—“The 4 ways Republicans can dismantle Obamacare, explained,” in Vox.

Tickets to our event have been going fast, but there are still a few remaining—you can pick yours up here. Check out the full agenda here. See you Thursday.
