Phil Weiser is dean of the University of Colorado Law School and an expert on telecommunications and technology policy and law. In 2010 and 2011, Phil served as the Senior Advisor for Technology and Innovation to the director of the White House National Economic Council. That appointment followed a stint as Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the United States Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division. Phil also is the Executive Director and Founder of the Silicon Flatirons Center for Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado.
Phil has written books and numerous articles about telecommunications policy for both academic and general audiences. He also served as a law clerk to Justices Byron R. White and Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the United States Supreme Court.
Phil graduated with high honors from both the New York University School of Law and Swarthmore College.
