Alberg Joins Obama’s Council
Tom Alberg, managing director of the Seattle-based Madrona Venture Group, will be joining President Obama’s new National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which will help develop policies to foster entrepreneurship, create jobs, and drive economic growth. U.S. Commerce Secretary and former Washington governor Gary Locke announced the members of the 26-person council at a U.S. Department of Commerce University Innovation Forum at the University of Michigan yesterday. Others on the council include Zipcar co-founder Robin Chase, Yahoo! co-founder and “chief Yahoo” Jerry Yang, and AOL co-founder Steve Case.
