Seattle-based Tableau Software, the data visualization company, said today that Zynga, the social gaming firm in San Francisco, has signed up to use Tableau’s analytics and business intelligence software. Financial details weren’t given. Zynga, the maker of such popular social games as FarmVille, Mafia Wars, and Cafe World, says it has more than 235 million active users on social networks like Facebook and MySpace, and mobile devices such as the iPhone. Tableau’s customers include big companies like Microsoft, Google, and Yahoo, government agencies, and medical institutions.
