The Innovation Showcase helps bridge the gap between research and commercialization by highlighting the most promising discoveries and new technologies ready for commercialization in Washington, and promotes the networking and idea sharing that helps turn research into results.

Our audience includes the top tier of our state’s business community interested in very early stage innovations and technologies and includes angel investors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and service providers focused on early stage businesses. Showcases feature presentations by 3-6 innovators hand-selected by our program manager and screening committee. Since our premiere event in October 2009, we’ve seen innovations ranging from implantable medical devices to treat diabetes, to expiration date product labeling technology, to a new method for food sterilization, to a new technology for MRI imaging.
