Solar Nation Raises $2M, Inks Partnership

Gregory T. Huang12/9/09

Portland, OR-based Solar Nation, a developer of solar energy technologies for government agencies, businesses, and nonprofits, has raised $2 million in equity financing, according to an SEC filing. The financing appears to be part of a $5 million commitment from Luxembourg-based Lynx Industries to help expand Solar Nation’s North American operations, as the company announced yesterday. The strategic partnership means Lynx Industries will also provide a $3 million credit facility, and will become Solar Nation’s preferred supplier. Solar Nation was founded in 2008 and is led by founders Paul Anthony Hodge, Paul Hodge, Jr., Dan Drummond, and Ryan Lambert.
