Maveron, Spark Lead $8M Round for Altius

Seattle-based Maveron and Boston-based Spark Capital have co-led an $8 million Series A investment in Altius Education, based in San Francisco, according to a press release today. The Noah Fund also participated in the deal. Maveron was founded by Dan Levitan and Howard Schultz in 1998, and focuses on consumer and tech companies. Altius was born in 2007, and is developing online higher education programs through partnerships with nonprofit universities.
