iLike App Uses Music to Find Concerts

Eric Hal Schwartz 8/4/09

Seattle-based iLike, a popular music service company that helps people find new music, create playlists, and plan for concerts, has launched a new iPhone and iPod Touch application today that will scan music on the device and send a personalized local concert listing based on what it finds, according to an announcement today. iLike also announced that more than 250 musicians have created personalized iPhone apps using iLike’s artist iPhone app platform. The company has adapted its application for platforms including iTunes and Facebook as well as its own iPhone app. iLike currently has more than 50 million registered users.
