SonoSite Sales Dip 12 Percent

Luke Timmerman7/27/09

SonoSite, the Bothell, WA-based maker of portable ultrasound machines, said today that its sales dropped 12 percent to $52.3 million in the second quarter. The company (NASDAQ: SONO) eked out a net income of $425,000, or 2 cents a share, in the period ending June 30. SonoSite blamed the declining sales on a slowdown in capital spending among U.S. hospitals.
