The University of Washington is hosting the BEIT2009 conference August 26-28 to discuss innovations in biomaterials. Speakers include David Walt of Tufts University (co-founder of San Diego-based Illumina), Joseph DeSimone of the University of North Carolina (co-founder of Research Triangle Park, NC-based Liquidia Technologies), and UW bioengineering professor Buddy Ratner (co-founder of Redmond, WA-based Healionics).
