Gregory T. Huang 6/12/09

Seattle-based Washington Technology Center announced today it has been awarded $136,000 in funding from the U.S. Department of Energy to improve thin-film silicon solar cells. The project, done in partnership with Oregon State University and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, involves using nanotech methods to trap more light in the solar cell so as to produce more electricity. The money comes from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
