Microsoft Spins Out Irish Firm InishTech

Microsoft’s IP Ventures program announced today it has launched a new startup called InishTech, based in Dublin, Ireland. The company will handle Microsoft’s Software Licensing and Protection Services, an existing business since 2007. Microsoft is providing an undisclosed amount of startup funding, as well as support through its BizSpark program. Its IP Ventures program has previously helped launch startups like Seattle-based Zumobi.
