Mayo Clinic Adopts MS HealthVault

The Mayo Clinic, the highly regarded hospital based in Rochester, MN, has agreed to offer patients an electronic medical records program based on Microsoft’s HealthVault platform. The program will allow patients to store medical information electronically, and receive individual guidance based on it from Mayo Clinic physicians and healthcare staff. Microsoft doesn’t say how many people have started using HealthVault, but I reported on the company’s broader strategy for the program in this feature last month.
