Microsoft Downsizes Live Labs

Gregory T. Huang 4/9/09

Microsoft is cutting its three-year-old Live Labs applied research group in half and moving the rest of the staff to product groups and other divisions, as first reported by PaidContent.org. Microsoft cited economic conditions as part of the reason for the move. The remaining Live Labs staff will focus on Internet search technologies.
