AVI Biopharma Hires New CFO, President On His Way Out

AVI Biopharma, (NASDAQ: AVII) a Portland, OR-based developer of drugs using RNA interference technology, said today it has hired J. David Boyle II as chief financial officer, while current CFO Mark Webber will become general manager of finance and administration. Alan Timmins, the current president and chief operating officer, will leave the company and his duties as president will be assumed by CEO Leslie Hudson.
