General Software Acquired by Phoenix Technologies

Milpitas, CA-based Phoenix Technologies (NASDAQ: PTEC), which makes PC systems software, announced today that it has signed an agreement to acquire Bellevue, WA-based General Software. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is intended to expand Phoenix’s presence across mobile and consumer electronics, communications systems such as network routers, and medical devices.
