Impinj Sells Memory Business to Virage Logic for $5.2M

Seattle-based Impinj, a maker of radio-frequency identification systems, has announced that it has sold its nonvolatile-memory intellectual property business to California-based Virage Logic for $5.2 million. Impinj will focus on its core business, which is developing RFID tags, readers, software, and antennas, while Virage Logic has hired the 30-odd Impinj employees who work on nonvolatile memory.
