From the event website:
“The November 11th, 2011 Block party is a charity driven #NerdNewYear. In Honor of the “11′s” 106 Miles andHackers and Founders are teaming together to throw an all day Not Your Average Art and Wine Street Fair/Block Party.
Daytime Fun
The event will be family friendly throughout the day with booths ofnic-nacs and treats, as well as a stage with live bands, food vendors from local restaurants, and even a bounce house for the kids.
Stay For The Party
Watch out when the sun goes down! We have been granted thestreet closure until Midnight, and will be rocking the street until theNerd New Year count down at 11:11pm!
Helping Those In Need
The best part of the Event is it is ALL for charity. We have selected 11 Redwood City Charities and are requesting $11.00 donations from everyone in attendance. A team of volunteers have been collecting donations for prizes from local businesses, and with every $11.00 donation you will receive 11 raffle tickets entering you to win 1 of these over 111 great prizes. We will be holding drawings throughout the day and night, and for those that prefer to donate canned goods we will be happy to take them as well.”
