Hearsay Social Gets $18M

San Francisco-based Hearsay Social, which helps large, multi-location companies coordinate social media marketing activities by their branch managers, said today that it has collected $18 million in Series B funding. New backer New Enterprise Associates led the round, which was joined by existing investor Sequoia Capital. The company launched in February with $3 million in Series A financing from Sequoia. “The backing from these world-class firms lets us accelerate our growth to meet incredible market demand and innovate even faster as we continue to transform the way businesses capitalize on social media,” founder and CEO Clara Shih said in a statement.
