GainSpan Gains $10.2M

GainSpan, a San Jose, CA-based maker of Wi-Fi modules embedded in a range of devices, has increased the size of a recent round of equity-based funding to $10.15 million, according to an amended regulatory document filed last week. The company reported in November 2010 that it had raised $5.1 million in the round, with part of the funds coming from Intel Capital. Other previous backers of GainSpan include New Venture Partners, Opus Capital, OVP Venture Partners, and Sigma Partners.
