Clickatell Raises $12M

Sequoia Capital and DAG Ventures have contributed $12 million to a Series B venture round for Clickatell, a Redwood City, CA-based startup offering software that helps wireless operators deliver SMS messages across different networks in hundreds of countries and territories. The company also introduced a new SMS marketing service for small businesses called Communicator 2; for about $25 per month, businesses can send up to 1,000 text messages to customers.
