Lookout Finds $19.5M

Lookout Mobile Security, a San Francisco startup specializing in cloud-based security for mobile phones, said today that it has raised $19.5 million in Series C financing. New investor Index Ventures led the round, which also included existing investors Accel Partners and Khosla Ventures. Index partner Mike Volpi has joined the company’s board. The company says its software is used by 4 million owners of Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile phones to guard against malware, viruses, and theft.
