12/14/10

Santa Clara, CA-based RFID tag and reader maker Intelleflex, which raised $8 million in Series A financing in November 2009, said today (PDF) that it has closed an $11.5 million Series A extension with existing investors Arcapita Ventures and New Venture Partners. The company will use the funds to boost sales and marketing of its low-cost, temperature-sensitive RFID tags, which it says can help reduce losses in the supply chain for perishable food and cold pharmaceuticals.
