SolFocus Raises $20M

Mountain View, CA-based SolFocus, a maker of optical concentrators that focus sunlight on arrays of small photovoltaic devices, has raised $20 million out of a potential $50 million in equity-based financing from unnamed backers, according to a regulatory filing. SolFocus previously raised $77 million in a 2009 Series C round and recently signed a contract to build a 300-megawatt-hour solar array in Bahra, Saudi Arabia.
