$8.6M for Revolution Analytics

Palo Alto, CA-based Revolution Analytics, which provides software and support to users of the open source R statistics language, has raised $8.62 million in a round of equity-based financing, according to a regulatory filing this week. The investors were not disclosed. Formerly known as Revolution Computing and formerly based in New Haven, CT, and Seattle, the company raised $9 million in venture financing in October 2009 from North Bridge Venture Partners and Intel Capital.
