Palo Alto, CA-based Hewlett-Packard said today that it has acquired Stratavia, a Denver, CO, company that automates the deployment and maintenance of databases. Terms of the purchase were not revealed. The nine-year-old startup had raised $9.5 million in venture backing from Adams Street Partners, Asset Management Co. and Vista Ventures, according to a report in VentureWire.
