Google Buys Jambool

Continuing its push into online social gaming, Google has acquired Jambool, the San Francisco- and Seattle-based maker of the Social Gold platform for managing virtual currencies and virtual goods sales, according to a post last Friday on Jambool’s blog. Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed. Founded in 2006, Jambool had raised $6 million in venture financing from Bay Partners and Madrona Venture Group.
