than 200 public companies using its subscription service, including Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), Intel (NASDAQ: INTC), PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP), and LinkedIn (NYSE: LNKD). Costello says Q4 also provides its services to over 200 companies, including Teekay Corp. (NYSE: TK), Ryder System (NYSE: R), and Vical (NASDAQ: VICL).

StockTwits says public companies using its Investor Communications Solutions platform can accomplish several goals, including:

—Broadly distribute company news and information with a ticker tag throughout the StockTwits community.

—Distribute charts, info-graphics and other information as part of official earnings announcements.

—Append disclaimers to social networking messages and links to third-part websites to meet regulatory compliance requirements.

“This and future deals like it show that it’s become important to support the StockTwits platform,” Costello says. “We see it as being important for investor relations professionals to integrate StockTwits with their operations.”
