San Diego digital media company DivX (NASDAQ: DIVX) says it has acquired AnySource Media, a Malvern, PA-based developer of Internet television streaming technology that enables users to connect their TV to Internet-based content and services. The deal could be valued up to $15 million, with $7.5 million paid in cash upfront and another $7.5 million to be paid over three years when AnySource meets certain technical, revenue and distribution milestones.
