Angel investments are becoming an increasingly important component of the startup capital structure. The San Diego chapter of the Tech Coast Angels has organized an information session for individuals making or considering investments in technology startups. San Diego TCA President Mike Elconin, Vice President Steve Flaim, and board member Jack Florio will discuss what it takes to be an angel investor, what strategies angel investors use to manage their investments to minimize taxes, legal exposure, and other issues. They also will explain the process for funding a startup, including how companies apply, get screened, and get funded. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., or register online here.
