Ichor Gets $3.3M Alzheimer’s Grant

Ichor Medical Systems, a privately held San Diego biotech, says it’s getting a $3.3 million grant award from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke to develop a vaccine for Alzheimer’s disease. Using an electroporation delivery system that creates temporary pores in cell membranes, Ichor has been developing DNA vaccines and drugs for treating an array of diseases, including influenca, hepatitis, HIV, melanoma, and malaria.
