Accelrys Names New CEO

Denise Gellene 6/15/09

San Diego-based Accelrys, which develops software for computer-aided design and modeling, today named Scipio Carnecchia as president and chief executive. Carnecchia previously was president of Interwoven, a provider of content management software that was acquired by Autonomy earlier this year. Carnecchia, who also is joining the board at Accelrys (NASDAQ: ACCL),  replaces Mark Emkjer, who resigned as CEO in January. Todd Johnson has been interim CEO.
