Qualcomm Opens Mirasol Display Plant

San Diego’s Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM) says it has commenced operations at its mirasol display fabrication facility in Taiwan, which the wireless technology giant operates with Foxlink, a leading device manufacturer. Qualcomm MEMS Technology’s plant in manufactures displays on generation 4.5 glass, which is based on the innovative mirasol (“look at the sun”) display technology that provides superior visibility outdoors and uses significantly less energy than traditional displays.

    I just found out about this tehnology. Wicked, if they can commercialize it. I love the idea behind it. By the way did you see the videos link on the newswire?
