Nanogen Lays Off 89

After filing last month for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, San Diego rapid molecular diagnostic products maker Nanogen has moved to lay off 89 employees by July 14, according to the website GenomeWeb. The San Diego company plans to sell its assets through an auction supervised by the federal bankruptcy court to the French firm Elitech, as we reported earlier.
