Breach Security Raises $2.2M

Bruce V. Bigelow 5/22/09

Carlsbad, CA-based Breach Security, a five-year-old startup developing network security technology, has raised $2 million of a $2.2 million convertible debt offering, according to documents filed earlier this week with the Securities and Exchange Commission. When Breach was launched in 2004, the company said it had raised $7.5 million in a Series A venture round led by San Diego’s Enterprise Partners Venture Capital. Joining Enterprise were Pitango Venture Capital, Evergreen Partners and Ascend Ventures. The company did not return calls seeking additional information. On its website, Breach also lists the venture firm Sid R. Bass Associates as an investor.
