4/30/09

The governing board for the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, the state stem cell agency, yesterday approved $67.7 million in funding for 15 research grants, including a $5.4 million grant to San Diego’s Novocell. The multi-year grant to Novocell will fund research that’s intended to find ways of identifying and separating stem cells that form a disorganized tissue amalgam known as a teratoma.
