Maxwell Gets Work for Hybrid Electric Bus

San Diego-based Maxwell Technologies (NASDAQ: MXWL) said today it has begun supplying its energy-storage devices to three transit bus makers in China under purchase orders totalling $13.5 million. Maxwell says its BoostCap ultracapacitors will be used to boost the energy efficiency of the hybrid diesel-electric buses. According to Maxwell’s president and CEO David Schramm, deliveries of the company’s 48-volt modules have already begun.
