The employer could off an education event to help those that are being laid off. Hosting a 3 hour event letting employees speak with an enrollment counselor from a college and having some folks from the Eemployment Development Department on hand to answer questions. Making the career transistion is a realty many face; making the best of those times helps encourage employees and society. I’m sorry for all those that lost jobs under restructuring.
