Bruce V. Bigelow 1/8/09

Anaphore, a La Jolla biotech near our Xconomy San Diego office, says it has raised $25 million in a Series A round led by 5AM Ventures, Versant Ventures, and Apposite Capital. Headed by founder and CEO Katherine Bowdish, Anaphore is developing a new class of protein therapeutics the company calls Atrimers. Anaphore says it’s novel drug candidates appear well-suited for treating immune-mediated diseases and oncology.
