Astronaut Sally Ride founded Sally Ride Science in 2001 to encourage girls’ interests in science, math, and engineering. For a $20 advance registration fee, the festival brings together hundreds of upper-elementary and middle-school girls, their parents and teachers for a featured talk, workshops and luncheon.     My grand-daughter is a very good student in the third grade. Her teacher has commented that she is the ideal student. Still all A’s through the 3rd and ready for the 4th. She Loves astronomy. She is also interested in other sciences. She is interested in Science for girls. What should she do?
