Astronaut Sally Ride founded Sally Ride Science in 2001 to encourage girls’ interests in science, math, and engineering. For a $20 advance registration fee, the festival brings together hundreds of upper-elementary and middle-school girls, their parents and teachers for a featured talk, workshops and luncheon.
