New York-based Yieldex said Monday it has opened an office in London, staffed with a couple of veterans of AOL Networks and the Rubicon Project.

Two industry veterans will head up the European expansion. Mark Williams, formerly with digital marketing company and AOL subsidiary AdTech, will be Yieldex’s commercial director. Nigel Edmund Jones, who was with ad selling automation company Rubicon, is its new director of publisher solutions.
Yieldex was founded in 2007 and its investors include First Round Capital, Hearst Ventures, Amazon.com, Madrona Venture Group, Sequel Venture Partners, Woodside Fund, and Triangle Peak Partners.
Some of the European content publishers Yieldex works with include The Telegraph and LastMinute.com; and its domestic clients include The New York Times and ESPN.
