4. Khan Academy The non-profit Khan Academy offers more than 3,200 video lectures on everything from chemistry to economics to the history of art. They’re all on YouTube for everyone to enjoy, but to my mind, the iPad app is the best way to experience them. You can watch the videos in full-screen mode, or you can stick to a windowed interface showing written transcripts. As you watch more videos, you’ll rack up points in Khan Academy’s achievement system; I’m not sure what the points are good for, but they’re fun to accumulate. Startup founders take note: there’s a whole sequence of lectures on venture capital and raising money for a startup.
