| Flipboard — Backed by more than $60 million in venture funding, Flipboard is certainly one of Silicon Valley’s darlings. It lives up to expectations with an app that’s fast, intuitive, and easy on the eyes. (I wrote about the new iPhone version of Flipboard last month). Pros: Includes enhanced magazine-style pages for specific partner publications such as Esquire and Women’s Health. Excellent Twitter integration. Cons: Flipboard is experimenting with advertising, which has so far been blessedly missing from most news reader apps. Also, I use this app a lot; after a while, every page starts to look the same.
