| 5. Osmos — Hemisphere Games, $4.99 — This cerebral puzzle/action game is my new favorite on the iPad. You’re a mote floating in the cosmic protoplasm, and your job is to grow by absorbing smaller motes while avoiding being absorbed by bigger motes. The other motes behave differently as you progress, challenging you to relearn physics on each level. The graphics are mesmerizing and there’s a haunting electronic soundtrack. Developed first for PCs, this game really shines on the iPad. | |
