| 3. Fotopedia National Parks — Fotonauts, $4.99 — I was so impressed by Fotonauts’ first iPad app, Fotopedia National Heritage, that I wrote a whole column about it. Now Fotonauts has taken the elegant photo-exploration platform it built for that app and filled it with 3,000 large-format photographs covering all 58 U.S. National Parks. These gorgeous shots are by photographer Quang-Tuan Luong, who was featured in Ken Burns PBS series “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea.” A great app for trip planning or just armchair traveling. | |
