Happy Fireworks Day; See You Next Week

When in the course of human events it becomes necessary for bloggers to temporarily dissolve the bonds which have connected them with their readers, and to assume among the powers of the earth the long weekend to which the laws of nature entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. Simply put—and with apologies to Thomas Jefferson—we need a break.
