Glad to see that Launch Capital invested in X-Conomy. They also invested in our business so I of course am very biased to believe they are astute investors! I love your content and approach and I know Launch is in a great position to understand it too.

Congratulations on raising a round of funding in today's difficult economic climate!

Would it be possible for you to reveal your business model? Many blogs and online publications are struggling with how to make money -- ad revenue does not seem to be the full answer for most. You must have a convincing plan to have raised this round of funding. It would be helpful to share your insight with others.

BTW I learned about your site from PaidContent.

Thanks.

[...] The company, launched in June last year, was founded by Robert Buderi, previously the Editor-in-Chief of MIT's Technology Review. It started with a Boston-area tech site, and then expanded into Seattle and San Diego with local area sites. It is cleverly keeping out of heavily covered regions like NYC, SF and LA. Besides the sites, which are ad-supported, it is also moving into events. More details here. [...]
